These crunchy biscuits are the ideal bedtime treat for your dog (and you!) The ginger is great for soothing a delicate digestion, chamomile helps promote relaxation and sleepiness, and the oats provide slow-release energy to keep away those overnight hunger pangs.
For a batch of 20 or so:
220g finely ground oats (or whizz normal porridge oats)
1 medium egg
1 tablespoon honey
50ml water (you may need more)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 tablespoon ground ginger
2 tablespoons fine chamomile/ or the contents of 6 chamomile tea bags.
1 tablespoon fresh ginger - finely grated
Combine the ingredients by mixing to a dough, roll into 20 golf ball sized portions. Pop onto a baking tray, press lightly to slightly flatten each biscuit.
Bake on 180 fan for 15 mins, allow to cool and then serve with a bowl of oat or goat's milk for the ultimate night time treat.
