All of the VetChef recipes are designed to be super-easy to make, with 5 or 6 ingredients cooked together in one pot. This simple beef and sweet potato recipe is a great example of a super-nutritious and delicious meal that can be made in around 20 minutes. It's suitable for all adult dogs, with 98kcal and 8g of protein per 100g of raw ingredients. The amounts listed below make around 750g, which would be ideal to feed a moderately active 10kg dog for a day - simply scale up or down for larger or smaller dogs.
200g beef (stewing steak is ideal)
400g sweet potato (chopped but not peeled)
50g whole egg (weighed without the shells)
2g calcium carbonate supplement
10g yeast extract (Marmite)
To make this dish, simply mix the ingredients together in a saucepan, cover with cold water and bring to the boil. Turn down the heat and simmer gently for around 20 minutes, stirring regularly, until the sweet potato is soft. Allow to cool completely before feeding.
